Staying Independent with MS: How I Found Strength and Balance with Studio ME Fitness
I want to share with you a truly inspiring story of someone who continues to prove that fitness is truly for anyone. Meet our client, Trisha, who has been battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) but won’t let that stop her from achieving her fitness goals and living her life.
Trisha’s journey began with a simple goal - to get stronger and into shape. She knew that building muscle strength was crucial in managing her symptoms of MS, but they were unsure about where to start. Financial challenges and a lack of knowledge about how to achieve her goals in a healthy way were hurdles that seemed insurmountable. She knew she needed to exercise and strength train, but just didn’t know how or where to start without causing further flare-ups.
Trisha then met Coach Chelsea. Chelsea's passion for fitness and helping others achieve their goals was evident from the start and that sold Trisha immediately. She knew that Chelsea was the right person to guide her on her fitness journey.
With Chelsea's guidance, Trisha started going to the gym. She was on her way to getting stronger and healthier, but then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, throwing a wrench in her progress. Gyms closed and so did her fitness program. She no longer had access to a gym.
Trisha and Chelsea found their way back to each other about 6 months ago when Trisha came in to our Studio ME and talk with Chelsea about working with her again.
Their first goal was to rebuild her muscles to pre-COVID levels and improve her balance and stamina. They knew that this wouldn't be easy, but they were determined. With Chelsea's help and the supportive environment at Studio ME Fitness, Trish started seeing improvements in her balance and core strength. All things that are super important when your balance is impacted by MS.
