From hiking, to hitting the gym for a workout, these two are always on the move

At Studio ME Fitness, we believe that fitness is not just about hitting the gym or following a strict workout routine. It's about finding a community that supports you, challenges you, and helps you become the best version of yourself. This month, we are excited to feature a mother and daughter combination who embody everything we stand for - Sue and Kira.

Sue, a vibrant and determined 60-year-old, has been a part of our Studio ME family since the beginning (2014). Her goal has always been to stay active, keep challenging herself, and living a long, healthy, and happy life. As a seasoned athlete who has competed in marathons, triathlons, duathlons, and more, Sue knows the importance of maintaining a fit and active lifestyle. Despite some injuries along the way, Sue has never let anything hold her back. She rarely misses a day coming a minimum 5 days/week getting her strength training and cardio in. She is a true inspiration to all of us at Studio ME.

Kira, Sue's daughter, is also an integral part of our community. Kira was actually client #1 of Studio ME. Megan has been training Kira since she was in high school. From her days as a high school and college athlete to her current role as a dental professional, Kira understands the importance of physical activity in maintaining both physical and mental health. What started as a casual sport player in high school has now evolved into a commitment to self-care and personal growth through fitness. Kira is now looking forward to the next stage of her life - motherhood and postpartum recovery - knowing that Studio ME will be there every step of the way.

Sue and Kira both found their way to Studio ME through our fearless leader, Megan, and have been dedicated members ever since. They took a chance to follow Megan when she first opened the studio, came in for test classes and have been along for the entire journey.

For Sue, Studio ME provided the structure and accountability she needed to maintain an active lifestyle post-competition. For Kira, the group environment and community spirit kept her coming back for more, even during the most challenging times.

As we celebrate Mother's Day this month, we want to salute the bond between Sue and Kira, who not only support each other but also motivate and inspire everyone around them. Their dedication, commitment, and positivity are a true testament to the power of fitness and community.

To anyone looking to start their fitness journey, Sue and Kira have some words of wisdom - “just give it a shot! Investing in yourself is the best decision you can make, and with the right community by your side, anything is possible.”
