Studio ME Fitness ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website and the Studio ME Fitness mobile apps for iOS and Android (together, the "Services"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers both visitors to our website and members who use our app. Our Services run on the Runflip platform, which provides the software and hosting on our behalf. Questions? Information you provide
- Account and profile: your name and email address, and — if you choose to give them — your phone number and date of birth.
- Emergency contact: the name and phone number of a person to reach in an emergency, if you add one.
- Membership and payments: your plan, billing history, and payment card. Card payments are processed by Stripe; the card summary shown in the app is fetched live from Stripe, and we do not store your full card number.
- Health and nutrition information: if you use our nutrition or coaching programs, this can include a food journal (with notes and meal photos), dietary preferences, allergies and free-text notes, and questions you send to our nutrition assistant. Our intake forms may also ask about injuries or medical conditions. This is sensitive information and we treat it accordingly. We do not collect data from wearables and do not record weight or body measurements.
- Messages and community content: messages you send to staff, posts and comments in community spaces, and photos you attach. If you sign a waiver, we keep the signature and a copy of the signed document.
- Family members you add: if you add a dependent (such as a child) to a family membership, we collect that person's name, date of birth, an optional limited login, and any guardian-signed waivers. You provide this as the adult account holder; children do not create their own accounts.
Information collected automatically
- App and device information: to deliver push notifications, our app creates a random identifier for your installation and sends it with your device's push token. This is not an advertising identifier, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.
- Purchase and activity records: your invoices, membership status, class bookings, and check-ins.
- Website analytics: on our marketing website (not inside the app), we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. If you have contacted us and the studio has enabled it, we may keep a private, internal count of your return visits to help us follow up.
- Advertising and measurement (website only): our marketing website may load Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and our lead tools. These set cookies and share some activity with Google and Meta for measurement and advertising — which some state laws treat as "sharing." These tools never run inside the app, and on the website they respect your choices (see below).
What we do not collect
We do not collect your precise or approximate location, fitness measurements from devices or wearables, your contacts, or your browsing or search history from other apps or sites. Our app includes no crash or diagnostics reporting, does not use your data for advertising tracking, and requests no tracking permission.
How we use your information
To create and manage your account; process memberships, payments, and bookings; deliver coaching, nutrition, and training services; communicate with you (including reminders and receipts); keep members safe at the studio; operate community features; and improve the Services. We never sell your personal information — not to anyone, ever.
The mobile app
- Push notifications: with your permission, we send notifications such as class reminders or messages. Each carries a short title, body, and an in-app link. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- Camera, photos, and microphone: the app requests access only when you choose to attach a photo or video — for example to a message, a community post, or a food journal entry. It does not access your camera, photo library, or microphone at any other time.
- No third-party tracking in the app: no advertising or analytics scripts run inside the app. If you tap a link that opens one of our marketing pages, that page opens in your device's browser and follows the choices described below.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only as needed to run the Services:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Anthropic — our nutrition assistant. When you ask a question, its text and relevant context (such as your preferences, allergies, and recent journal entries) are sent to Anthropic to generate a response. Anthropic processes this on our behalf and does not use it to train its models.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) and the Apple Push Notification service — to deliver push notifications to your device.
- Twilio — to send and receive text messages, when you opt in to texts (see Text messages below).
- Resend — to send transactional email.
- Cloudflare — hosting, security, and the cookieless website analytics described above.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect safety or our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising (aside from the website advertising tools above, which you can turn off).
Your choices and rights
- Website tracking: we honor Global Privacy Control and Do-Not-Track signals automatically; you can also opt out manually using the control below.
- Push notifications: turn them off in your device settings at any time.
- Access, correction, and deletion: you can request a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing contact@studiomefitness.com. We currently handle deletion requests through the studio; there is no self-serve in-app deletion yet. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we collect, request deletion or correction, and opt out of "sharing" for advertising. We honor these rights and do not sell personal information — to exercise them, email contact@studiomefitness.com.
Children and families
The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. An adult member may add a dependent child to a family membership; that information is provided and controlled by the adult account holder, and any waiver for a minor is signed by the guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information without a guardian, contact us at contact@studiomefitness.com and we will remove it.
Data security and retention
We encrypt data in transit (the Services use HTTPS only). We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements; after that we delete or de-identify it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will provide additional notice.
Text messages
If you opt in to text messages on one of our forms, we keep your phone number, the exact consent wording you agreed to, and the time and page of your consent so we can prove and honor it. Consent is never required to submit a form or to buy anything, and you can reply STOP at any time. Your mobile opt-in is never shared or sold. The full program terms are in our SMS Program Terms.
Your privacy choices
We automatically honor the Global Privacy Control and Do-Not-Track signals — if your browser sends either, we turn off analytics, advertising, and return-visit tracking for you. You can also opt out manually right here, and request a copy or deletion of your personal info anytime by emailing contact@studiomefitness.com.
