Week 10 Body Transformation Challenge...SO CLOSE!

I can’t believe that we are moving into week 11 already. If you would have asked me back in April if I thought we would be here, I would have said no! We had just purchased the new equipment and were more excited to launch the program than BOOM….the pandemic hit and we had to close our doors.

The beginning of the pandemic was really good for my nutrition and making sure to get my own workouts in but then I started to settle into bad nutrition habits and having dessert every night! Mentally, I couldn’t snap out of it and I needed something to help me do it.

Kickstarting with A12

A12 was that something! I have cleaned up my nutrition and my body feels like its mine again. I feel more comfortable in my clothes and my posture is better. I’m back baby!

This week was an interesting one! I really wanted to get out and run again but it didn’t happen. I stuck to rowing for my 20 min pieces. I even used the MyZone fitness 15 min fitness test to help me through the 20 minutes. I got my meters too which was great!

What else???

Wednesday’s we get to deadlifts. Like I how said “get to”? ;)

Two weeks ago I was at 175lb. My first attempt, I tried but the bar didn’t move and I busted out laughing (Jenna can confirm this). I tried again and got one rep. Again, no go! Took off 10lbs and rocked out all six sets!

This past week, right away I was able to get my 6 reps. Then got another set, and another, and one more before I had to take 10lbs off. It was very mentally challenging for me. When you weigh 115lbs, walking up to a bar that weights 175 is intimidating. I had to get out of my head and tell myself I can do this, and I did! It was a great feeling to go from 1 rep to 4 sets of 6 reps in one week without doing the move in between there.

The tough part this week….the cardio…oh the cardio! It’s been SO much better since I started taking the BCAAS during my workout so I finish by time I get to the sprints but man it is just mentally challenging doing 33+ minutes of sprints, slams, swings, etc over and over and over. There were movements I just zoned out to get through it. Just listening for the beeps to tell me when to start and stop.

The cardio definitely has been the hard part over the past week. Sure, every lift is hard now, but it’s short and a different hard.

We have two weeks left. My goal in these next two weeks is to hit 180lb on deadlifts, hit chin-ups with added weight for 50+ reps, get 45lb on my incline DB press (I’ve been stuck for the past two weeks at 40lbs) have a good nutrition (I’ve been cheating a bit over the past couple weeks) and finish this bad boy strong!
