Hannah has been rocking the WaterRower since she first joined us in back in April. We absolutely love having this powerhouse in class and watch out if you are rowing next to her…she is a BEAST on the rower.

 

 

“Studio ME has given me a safe place to come back to the sport that I’ve loved for so long. I rowed for years, and after a 5 year break from the sport (and mostly anything athletic) due to injury, I have conquered my fear of getting back into it. I’m learning how to challenge myself both mentally and physically again with the workouts at Studio Me- and loving every minute of it.

I took the beginning of 2017 as a chance for me to kick-start a health lifestyle, including changing my diet and getting active both through rowing with the Minneapolis Rowing Club and in Studio ME. Since January, I’ve lost almost 50lbs and I’m loving the way my body is looking and feeling. I have Studio ME to thank for a lot of that- the workouts have really pushed me to new limits and I feel like a whole new person! I look forward to every 6am class where I know my butt will truly be kicked and I’ll be exhausted for the rest of the day- but I’m proud of myself for each second I shave off my times on the water rower and each pound I lose on the scale.” ~Hannah

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Tamara has really found her groove on the WaterRower and has gained SO much strength over the past year. Your hard work and dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. YOU GO GIRL! 

“Initially I tried out Studio ME after following one of my favorite fitness instructors (Megan) from another place she used to teach. Studio ME had small class sizes and something I hadn’t done before (Indoor Rowing). I was tired of all the floor classes and spinning. Shockwave, HIIT Row and the addition of kettlebells continues to draw me back in which is something I was craving. Bootcamp is one of my favorite things to do as it offers that consistency that I know I need to get up for in the mornings and really helps set the day right.

 

I have increased my lifting weight and my cardio has gotten very strong over the last few months which is a big plus. I appreciate all of the instructors at Studio ME as they are tough, correct form, continue to encourage all in the classes, and offer a great variety in the classes. No routine is ever the same.

Love all the members and new members that continue to workout at Studio ME as this truly is like a little community.

“After finishing the Twin Cities Marathon in October 2015, I was looking for a new gym, ideally in the ‘hood, that would keep me in shape while being easier on my body. I played volleyball competitively for 25+ years, which has led to seven knee surgeries and a really tender shoulder, so I needed to think differently about the long-term impact of my workouts. Cross Fit-type workouts weren’t cutting it anymore. Michelle Littlejohn and I have been friends (and workout buddies) for years, and she nudged me to try out Studio ME. “You’ll love it – especially Megan and Siri.” She was SO right! The workouts are great and challenging while not putting any unnecessary stress on my beaten up joints. But what I love most about Studio ME are Megan and Siri. They’re great trainers who can get me to do pretty much anything because they’ve got these amazing, energizing, and motivating personalities. But what I appreciate most about them (more than they tolerate my mid-workout singing) is they care – like REALLY care – about the people who come to the Studio. Whether it’s checking in, or continually asking for our feedback, or trying new things, I love being at a gym that makes me feel valued as more than “just a client.”
